I love Clevel! The views, location, parking and of course the food. My faves are the soups, the calamari, the fish and chips, and the filet. The mud pie is huge and delicious. Service is always stellar.
We got lucky and found a table on a Friday evening, even in the busy parking lot. Not only that, but we also got a table with a view. The staff was friendly, though a bit slow, but it wasn't a big deal. The food was actually good, and the atmosphere added to the experience. We'll definitely be coming back to this place--it's worth it!
Food, view and the staff AMAZING!! We haven't had a bad experience and all the folks we have taken have always said positive comments. Keep up the fabulous job!!!
I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while now and finally pulled the trigger and WOW was I impressed. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the service and atmosphere were bar none as well. We were seated at Ricardo's table and he was such an amazing server. So on top of everything, water always filled up, checking in on us at the exact times and his food recommendations were perfect! We had the muscles, which were to die for, and the tuna/crab tower. The presentation of all the food was great as well! With a view of downtown San Diego, this place can't be beat. Thank you Ricardo for making our Sunday date lunch such a special one!
We visited for a birthday celebration with reservations at 5:45 PM, intending to arrive early for happy hour. Although we arrived at 5:34 PM, the host wouldn't allow us to partake in happy hour, but it wasn't a major issue. The atmosphere was incredible, featuring gorgeous views. The food was decent, though not exceptional. I might return to experience the happy hour menu and enjoy the beautiful views again.
Met for a business lunch after a very successful customer meeting where we nailed some great new orders well into 2025. Time to eat some good food to celebrate. Since it was a business lunch, I did not take any pictures of the food, only the great view we had looking off of the patio. I ordered the C-Level Louie Salad. Blue crab, rock shrimp, butter lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, red onion, cucumber, egg, capers, thousand island dressing. I asked for the dressing on the side so I could monitor the amount used instead of just being flooded with dressing which happens a lot and I dislike strongly. We all got our meals and everyone was impressed with the presentations, the amount of food and how everything tasted. My salad was excellent and I would order again when I return. It is not the traditional Crab Louie salad, but a nice variation that is their own. Get it. Very good. I likey. Service was 5 star and beyond the main server, every person we dealt with was just awesome. Friendly, accommodating, responsive. Go. Eat Well. HAVE FUN!!!
This was my first time at C Level! I came here for a little birthday lunch for a friend, and I had a good experience! But first the parking was a headache. But I guess it always is when you're downtown. They have a valet, but the line was so backed up it took forever to actually get in. There was also a free lot outside, if you don't mind the walk. We had a reservation, so we were immediately seated outside on the patio deck. They gave us a beautiful table near the ocean...we were all very thankful! This restaurant has a prime location! However, I have to admit that the heat was killing us. It was an especially hot and sunny day, but there were no fans on where we sat. I didn't feel a breeze either, so it became rather uncomfortable as our dining experience progressed. In terms of the food, we shared the crispy artichoke fritters, ceviche verde, chicken potstickers, and Thai chicken salad. In my opinion, artichoke fritters were alright; they were lightly battered, but all I could taste was the batter/oil. I didn't try the ceviche, but my friends liked it. The chicken potstickers were pretty good, though it's hard to mess up on those. The Thai chicken salad was probably the most "special" dish we ordered. I enjoyed the crispy fried wontons, and the sesame chicken. The sauce was flavorful but added a tad overzealously. If I had to do it again, I would order the sauce on the side. The food was not outstanding, so I find it difficult to justify the price. You're really paying for the seaside views and ambiance, not the food. However, the saving grace of this restaurant has to be the service. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly thoughtful! Not only were we seated right away, but the staff kindly waited for us as our final friend arrived. Our waiter was very attentive and constantly checked up on us. He also surprised the birthday girl with a slice of cake! (This was the best thing I had there. It was so moist!) The valet workers were also courteous and understanding when we lost our valet ticket! Overall, C Level was okay. I don't think I'd go back here, unless it was for the seaside ambiance. However, the incredible staff brings the rating up to a 4!
Not the upscale restaurant we thought it was in planning our 20th wedding anniversary dinner. We made reservations for the outside area, it was very casual and we were seated on the parking lot side unfortunately. People had their dogs sitting in chairs with them at the table which seemed a little unsanitary. Our server was wonderful, service was very quick and our food was delicious. The lobster BLT was packed with a ridiculous amount of lobster and the lobster bisque on the side was heavenly. My Skirt Steak Salad was full of juicy, tender steak...just needed more of the blue cheese. Definitely come for happy hour, $10 drinks and apps. Island Prime is attached and we now know was more the atmosphere we were looking for to celebrate our special occasion.
